Last Word - ChromeOS

Hexxeh ChomeOS dual boot

I have been able to dual boot VANILLA successfully.  After a complete install of VANILLA, I resized the H-STATE partition and installed Ubuntu in the available free space.  The Ubuntu boot loader was able to identify the VANILLA install and add it as a choice in my boot menu.  It lists it as an unknown Linux distro.  Don't care what you call it, it works.

ChromeOS vs Jolicloud

It really comes down to your needs.  ChromeOS offers all things browser.  Jolicloud does browser as well, if not better, than ChromeOS.  Jolicloud also has all the traditional linux desktop tools.

Why I'm not using ChromeOS

Considering the infancy of the chrome web store, and the unofficial nature of the Hexxeh releases, I am not yet ready to endorse ChromeOS over Jolicloud or Ubuntu Netbook Edition.   It was fun exploring and testing, but I am going to move on to other things until an official Google release is available.
